Description:November 13, 2013 Data and Reporting Analyst Salary Grade 22 $62,430 The Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene, Inc. (RFMH) is currently seeking a qualified candidate to serve as a full-time Data and Reporting Analyst in the Office of Performance Measurement and Evaluation. This individual will report to the Performance Measurement Coordinator for Project Hope. Project Hope is a program that provides free crisis counseling services to persons, families, and groups most affected by the recent flooding following Hurricane Sandy. This individual will prepare reports and conduct data analysis to support program operations and meet grant reporting requirements. Project Hope is funded by the Federal Emergency and Management Agency (FEMA) and is administered by the Center for Mental Health Services (CMHS) and the New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH) in conjunction with the RFMH. This position is projected to run through March 2014. Duties:Responsibilities: The duties of the Data and Reporting Analyst will include, but are not limited to, the following: • Assist in the development of performance measures, evaluation designs and the selection of appropriate data analysis methodologies • Management of large SAS dataset from uploading of program data, data validation and cleaning and communication of relevant observations to senior-level staff to support program wide quality assurance efforts • Develop programs, methodologies and files supporting a comprehensive standard reporting structure and in response to ad hoc requests from internal and external program partners • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with program staff to facilitate the systematic and orderly flow of data to document service provision
Qualifications:Qualifications: • A Bachelor’s degree and two years of professional research experience in an appropriate field; or a Master’s degree in an appropriate field and one year of such experience; or a Doctorate in an appropriate field. Appropriate fields include Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Public Health, Biostatistics, Economics or a related social science field. • Strong analytic and programming skills. Proficiency with SAS for quantitative statistical analysis is required. Certified SAS programmer preferred. Experience with PROC SQL and MACRO highly desired. • Strong knowledge of statistics and strong written and verbal communication skills are required. • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of products including Access, Excel, Word and PowerPoint. • Solid organizational and communication skills. • Fluency in the English language. Preferred Qualifications: • Knowledge of the New York State mental health system and disaster mental health programs.
