Description:The Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene, Inc (RFMH) is currently seeking a qualified candidate to serve as a Fidelity and Outreach Coordinator for an innovative evidence-based program.

The First Episode Psychosis (FEP) initiative is under the Center for Practice Innovations (CPI) in the Division of Mental Health Services and Policy Research.

This initiative provides specialized early intervention treatment teams for individuals experiencing a newly emerging psychotic disorder. The person in this position will be responsible for a myriad of duties pertaining to two distinct activities:

1). Outreach and recruitment efforts across programs, and

2). Coordinating efforts to collect fidelity data. This person will be highly visible interfacing between programs, providing support and technical assistance.

The incumbent will report to and work closely with the FEP project director as well as the Director of Center for Practice Innovation (CPI).
Duties:Duties include, but are not limited to:

1)Conduct site visits to assess clinical fidelity of teams

2)Contribute to the development of check lists and other simple data collection tools. Data collecting may include clinical observation such as watching an FEP skills-based group, a team planning meetings, or a family psychoeducational session.

3)Help sites use data collection tools on a routine basis so that essential patient and programmatic data is collected.

4)Provide overall technical assistance to sites to ensure that fidelity data is complete and accurate.

5)Help to develop and implement community based strategies for recruitment

6)Help teams recruit patients through FEP presentations and community education.

7)Work with program personnel to develop brochures, a website, and other recruitment material.

8)Help teams to track referral sources so that referral networks can be identified.

9)Monitor success of outreach efforts.

10)Contribute to training of eligibility assessment process.

11)Fulfilling other responsibilities as they emerge
Qualifications:•Master’s degree in an appropriate field including Social Work, Psychology, Public Health, or a related social science and at least two years experience in the related field.

•Strong written and verbal communication skills are required - the incumbent will interface regularly with clinical program staff.

•Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of products including Access, Excel, Word and PowerPoint

•Strong analytic skills, able to troubleshoot and problem solve effectively

•Experience in community-based mental health services strongly preferred.
