Description:Deputy Director, Project Hope Albany Grade 27 Salary: $78,710 – $95,983 The Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene, Inc. is seeking one (1) qualified candidate to fill the full­time position of Deputy Director, Project Hope in the Office of Mental Health. This is a grant-funded position and will report directly to the Program Director. Project Hope is a program that provides free crisis counseling services to persons, families and groups most affected by Hurricane Sandy. Project Hope is funded by the Federal Emergency and Management Agency {FEMA) and is administered by the New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH) in conjunction with the RFMH. This position will be located in Albany, New York. This position runs through December 29, 2012, with a probable extension through September 2013. Duties:Job Duties and Responsibilities: • Assist the Director of Project Hope in all facets of the project as needed • Assist in hiring and providing direct supervision and oversight of the project staffs • Provide oversight and monitoring of contracted Providers • Assist as needed in collaboration with community providers, City agencies and relevant State agencies in relation to CCP activities, overall documentation and reporting requirements • Monitor data submission to make ensure program compliance • Assist in organizing, writing and producing progress reports and summaries of project activities • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:Minimum Requirements/ Preferred Skills: • A Master's Degree in Social work, Public Health, Public Administration, or other relevant graduate degree from an accredited college or university and four (4) years experience • A Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and five (5) years of professional experience • Experience responding to a disaster of similar scale, understanding of policy, understanding of local mental health and local government structure and network • Demonstrate the ability to work effectively with culturally diverse staff and populations, as well as honor contributions and strengths of all cultures • Ability to manage people and resolve conflict, management experience strongly preferred • Able to meet tight deadlines and work in an unpredictable environment • Proficiency with Microsoft Office application including Word, Excel and PowerPoint required • Excellent written, oral and organizational skills • Travel to program locations with New York State is required
