|Description:||Research Assistant needed for fMRI studies in the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
|Duties:||Analyze and control quality of functional MRI images and behavioral data. Explore analysis techniques with investigators, and help write and maintain analysis programs and methods. Automate analysis procedures and create necessary user interfaces. Occasionally assist in MRI scanning. |
|Qualifications:||EDUCATION: Preferred: BA or BS (Masterís degree is strongly preferred) in computer science, engineering, psychology, biology or neuroscience
TRAINING & EXPERIENCE: Must have computer programming skills (MATLAB strongly preferred); be familiar with various software programs (e.g. Excel, Word, Access). It is desirable if the candidate has some experience working on fMRI data analysis and experimental design, familiar with software packages, like SPM, FSL, E-Prime and Psychtoolbox. Must be well-organized.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to work occasional nights and weekends. Excellent interpersonal skills, team spirit, and self motivation are required. Participation in medical surveillance required. A MINIMUM OF A THREE-YEAR COMMITMENT to the project is required, contingent upon continuous funding.
