Description:Reporting to the Director of Information Systems, this position requires the individual to develop, maintain and enhance existing and new database applications and websites for the Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene (RFMH) at the New York State Psychiatric Institute (NYSPI). The individual will interact with stakeholders to ascertain the required functionality to successfully develop and enhance the systems.
Duties:Responsibilities include full lifecycle software development of administrative/business information systems in a research/healthcare environment.

Maintain, enhance and develop new and existing database applications; Ad-hoc data reporting and analysis.

PC technical support and computer maintenance; Maintain interactive, data driven websites; Website content management. Train staff in the use of existing and new software applications and websites; Help-Desk Support; Perform other duties as specified.
Qualifications:Masterís Degree in Computer Science with one to two years of software development experience, or five to seven years of corporate software development experience.

The candidate must be proficient in windows and web programming (VB, ASP.net, VB.net, C#.net, HTML, JavaScript, Ajax); database development (MS-SQL 2000 and above, MS Access, SQL queries, Stored Procedures w/T-SQL); Development Environments (Visual Studio 2005 or greater, VBA for MS-Office, SVN); graphics / web design; basic network troubleshooting experience; helpful if experienced with DotNetNuke web development, CuteSoft Editor and Aspose.

The candidate must be self-motivated; able to work quickly and effectively with or without direct supervision; work well with different groups of people; strong analytical and problem solving skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills.
