| Description: | New York State Institute for Basic Research (IBR) of the Office for Peope with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) and the Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene (RFMH) in partnership with New York State Education Department (SED) announce a doctoral-level clinical position for an experienced behavior analyst, to begin ASAP.
The Behavioral Assessment and Intervention Program is a major new initiative by IBR/OMRDD and SED designed to meet the growing need for behavior analysts to provide evidence-based assessment and treatment of chronic aberrant behaviors for students enrolled in the New York City public schools

| Duties: | The individual must be an expert in applied behavior analysis with extensive clinical experience working with children and adolescents diagnosed with autism and other developmental disabilities presenting with severe aberrant behaviors (e.g., self-injury, aggression, disruption, elopement, pica, etc.) in school settings. The behavior analyst will conduct intensive behavioral assessment and treatment for a small number of students in the New York City metro area schools. | Qualifications: | Minimum qualifications - All applicants must have:
(1) A behaviorally-oriented doctorate (i.e., Ph.D, Psy.D. from a BACB-approved program)
(2) At least one year of post-doctoral experience conducting analogue functional analysis in children and adults with autism and/or MRDD
(3) NYS license as a Psychologist, NYS license as a Speech and Language Pathologist, or certification as a School Psychologist.
(4) Knowledge of relevant state and federal regulations. Prefer completion of an APA-accredited internship and post-doc work. Preference will be given to board certified behavior analysts (BCBAs).
